Placinta Americana cu Mere / American Apple Pie

Cumparam o data pe luna de la Targul Traditional din Agronomie mere gustoase si sanatoase. Cum nu reusim sa le mancam pe toate, m-am gandit sa fac o placinta, insa sa respect oarecum ingredientele specifice placintei americane. Nu am reusit intru-totul sa le respect, insa rezultatul a fost absolut delicios:
 
Ingrediente:
Pentru blat: 2 1/2 cesti de faina, 1/2 de lingurita de sare, 10 linguri de unt, 1 lingura de ulei de masline, 4 linguri de apa rece
Pentru umplutura: 50 g de ghimbir proaspat, 6 mere, 3 linguri de miere, 1 lingura de scortisoara, 1 /2 de lingurita de nucsoara, 1/2 de lingurita de extract de vanilie, 1 lingura de faina
 
Pentru blat, amesteca faina cu sare, adauga untul topit, uleiul si apa rece si continua sa amesteci pana ce devine compozita omogena. Taie blatul in doua. Intinde-l. Unge o tava cu unt si presara putin pesmet. Pune coca intinsa.
 
Curata ghimbirul si merele de coaja. Pune-le in robot. Adauga scortisoara, nucsoara, mierea, faina si amesteca pana ce compozitia devina omogena.
Pune compozitia peste blat. Intinde si cealalta parte de coca, adauga-o peste compozitie, lipind-o de cea de la baza.
Decoreaza cu felii de mere, cu zahar si scortisoara.
Baga tava la cuptor pentru 60 de minute, la 180 de grade Celsius.

Ingredients:
Crust: 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 10 tablespoons butter, 1 tablespoon olive oil, 4 tablespoons ice water
Filling: 50g fresh ginger, 6 apples, 3 tablespoon honey, 1 tablespoon cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract, 1 tablespoon flour
 
Whisk flour and salt in large bowl to blend. Add butter and oil and rub in with fingertips until very coarse meal forms. Sprinkle with 3 tablespoons water; toss until moist clumps form, adding more water by teaspoonfuls if mixture is dry. Gather dough into ball; divide in half. Roll on half, add it into a round pan, after you've coated the pan with butter.
 
Peel the apples and the ginger. Cut them in small pieces. Put them in a kitchen robot, add the nutmeg, the cinnamon, the honey, the flour and mix until it becomes omogenous.
Add the mixture over the crust.
Roll on the other half of the crust.
Decorate with apple pieces, sugar and cinnamon.
Put the pan into the oven for 60 minutes, at 180 Celsius degrees.
